American Community Garden Association Conference (2021) Diggin-In-It Takes SEED, “Gardening in Challenging Times”. Hampton, VA. As the Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the NATASHA House, Dr. Boone-Thornton presented at the conference and presented information on how the non-profit utilizes it garden to help its residents realize dreams of becoming self-sufficient through entrepreneurship, fundraising, healthy eating, and engaging the community.
