As a professor and Assistant Director of the Master’s in Human Services Program and the Pastoral Program at Regent University, I am committed to shaping my students' academic and personal growth and contributing to Regent University's broader goals. My work as an award-winning author of the emotional wellness and mental health series Transforming Your Reality Removing the Mask and my workshops across the US aim to provide emotional support and facilitate personal growth.
Through daily mental health messages on LinkedIn as the UnMasking Guru, I strive to provide motivation, strengthen emotional bonds, and create a sense of community for my 3,500 followers. Additionally, as a guest co-host on the iHeart Radio BLifted-Up show, I am dedicated to educating and empowering our audience. Serving as the Global Chamber of Commerce Transformational Writers Conference Keynote Speaker in Puerto Rico has been an honor. Now, for the second consecutive year, I have been invited back. Journaling is an effective form of writing that supports uncovering buried emotions and can ignite the writer in us all.
With a Doctorate in Educational Psychology from Regent University, an MS Ed in Urban Education Guidance and Counseling from Norfolk State University, and a bachelor’s in social work from Christopher Newport University, my educational journey has equipped me to serve others effectively. Being recognized as a global humanitarian for my work in education and support for women and children across nations is a profound honor.
